Jeremy grew up on a dairy farm in Horsham Downs, just north of Hamilton, and still finds himself actively involved. He loves being able to positively contribute to a sustainable farming ideology and working with farmers to help maintain production targets without compromising their environmental footprint.
Jeremy previously worked for NIWA before travelling abroad where he worked as an environmental engineer at the London Olympic site. Back in NZ, Jeremy worked for URS and AECOM as an environmental consultant and project manager, typically on large industrial and infrastructure projects. As Dairy runs in Jeremy’s blood, he then went on to work as a contract milker on a system 3-4 farm before joining the AgFirst Waikato team as an Environmental Agribusiness Consultant.
With the experience that Jeremy has gained from his consulting and farming background, he has the relatable skillset to problem solve and provide practical solutions across a wide range of agribusiness operations. Jeremy spends his days helping farmers navigate through the myriad of change we are currently experiencing in the New Zealand Agri sectors.
