Mark is a founding member of Agfirst and has been consulting to pastoral farmers since graduating from Lincoln College with a B Ag Sc degree in 1983. He is also a registered member of the New Zealand Institute of Primary Industry Management.
The initial 3-6 years were spent on the West Coast of the South Island and the Marlborough region working with a mix of dairy, sheep/beef, and deer farmers.
In 1989 Mark settled in Whakatane and since 1995, when Agfirst was created, he has been co-owner of Agfirst Central Ltd centred in Rotorua.
Mark has a varied portfolio of clients with approximately 65% on farm supervision (Maori Trusts), 25% Environmental consultancy, and 10% general consultancy in three different sectors (Dairy, Sheep/Beef, Deer). His work area encompasses Opotiki to the east, South Waikato to the west, Reporoa to the south and Waihi to the north.
Mark is a certified Nutrient Management Advisor and Greenhouse Gas Advisor. He is also a Land Use Advisor assisting landowners in the Rotorua Catchment to meet PC10 nutrient requirements and Resource consent.
Mark has a number of strengths built up over 40 years of experience with a particular interest in group facilitation, farm business analysis, feed and financial planning, business planning, and environmental management.
