AgFirst Appoints First CEO

We are thrilled to announce the appointment of the first AgFirst CEO, James Allen.

The introduction of the position will elevate AgFirst's ability to provide an enhanced level of products and services to our clients, by harnessing our collective strength of nationwide coverage and cross-sector skills.

AgFirst New Zealand has been in operation for nearly 30 years, and the appointment of a CEO will help position the business for the next phase of growth that we and the industry is well and truly ready for.

Initial areas of focus for the role will include leading a recruitment drive for the AgFirst group to help manage the increasing demand for our services; and working with landowners and industry to address issues around land use change.

The entire AgFirst team is excited by this development and what it means for the growth of our already outstanding network of industry leading consultants.

With a high chance of an El Nino summer, which can bring dry conditions, particularly to the East Coast and Northland farmers and growers can start planning now to mitigate the risks. Some councils are already reporting dipping soil moisture levels below typical.
